Urgent Appeals

The security and humanitarian situation are deteriorating considerably RIGHT NOW in North Kivu.

With the escalation of violence and insecurity in North Kivu in the DRC, the humanitarian needs of the population are growing day by day.

Many displaced people have been victims of violence and experienced traumatism before and during their displacement. When they arrive in the camps, they need food, life basic necessities, medical care and psychosocial support.

North Kivu in Democratic Republic of Congo is experiencing a tragedy; more than 7 million Congolese people are forced to go into exile in their own country. Victims of this unjust war, children, women and elderly people are forced to leave their homes fleeing the insecurity which prevails there to seek shelter in makeshift camps erected for the occasion around GOMA town.

It must be said that life in these refugee camps is not easy, despite some aid,  but the conditions of this population continue to deteriorate more and more due to the fact that it faces so many challenges such as malnutrition, lack of access to health care, lack of children education, lack of clean water and basic necessities among pregnant and breastfeeding women, elderly people and lack of psychosocial support on raped and victims of violence against women.

It is in this context that Canadian Hope for Africa “CHFA”, not being able to remain indifferent following this human tragedy and as part of its mission, CHFA is helping to provide emergency assistance like food and other life basic necessities support to thousands of displaced people in different sites around the city of Goma like Don Bosco and Kanyaruchinya. Through these operations, underway since November 2022, our teams were able to deliver assistance to more than 2,000 victims.

Although we are helping but this aid is very insignificant, it is only a drop in the ocean, the needs are enormous and urgent. This is why, CHFA send out a cry from the heart and a SOS to all person of good heart, good Samaritans to either donate in kinds or money donation to these numerous victims who live in unhuman conditions

Please donate to the displaced people of Kanyaruchinya to improve their living conditions.
